I want to clarify something that can be a little confusing. When I started out on a mission to get my figure back in shape, all I had in my mind was the idea of losing weight. Since I felt I had lost tone and also gained body fat, I believed I had to burn fat lose weight, and get back my self confidence. So, this is how I came to select the domain name burnfatloseweight.com to describe how I won my fat burning battle.

The reality that I’ve since discovered, through the Burn The Fat guide, is that it should really be named “burn fat gain muscle” as this descibes the process more accurately. You can read more about the theory behind why gaining muscle results in faster fat burning in my review of “Burn The Fat”. (posted earlier on this blog) Most men love the idea of gaining muscle, but many women are put off by that, since they mistakenly think they’ll replace their feminine curves with masculine looking muscles.

Nothing could be further from the truth since, thankfully, women have different hormones circluating in their bloodstream. We just don’t “bulk-up” like males, and more toned muscles just make us look even more attractive and slimmer. The trap that many women fall into, and which I did initially, is that of scale watching. Constantly looking at my weight as the gauge of my fat loss progress. I then discovered through the Burn The Fat program that, as I burn more fat, my weight doesn’t necessarily drop. It can even increase slightly, BUT I look and feel so much better.

Muscle weighs more than fat, so as you replace fat with muscle, you don’t necessarily lose weight, but you’ll see those nasty wobbly bits disappearing quickly. I discovered that the right type of exercise results in fat burning that lasts for days, and my muscle weight is “good weight.” It’s not only good for the way I look, but it increases my metabolism which burns even more fat. I wrote about this in my previous post which you may have read.

So, don’t be just a weight watcher, but rather use the right type of exercise and diet to build muscle burn fat and easily tone your figure in a way that you may have thought wasn’t possible.

I wrote my account of my weight loss struggles in an earlier post, and how I overcame them by using the Burn The Fat System designed by Ton Venuto. Some readers have asked me for more of an in-depth review of it, and I’m happy to oblige since it provided the breakthrough I really needed to burn fat and lose weight.

One of the exciting things about “Burn The Fat”, that really sets it apart from most weight loss programs, is that you’re shown how to get your body to burn fat long after you’ve stopped exercising. The difference this makes is huge, because it drastically cuts the amount of time you need to get great results. I don’t know about your situation, but I’m not one who has lots of time available to exercise!

How does it work? Well, this is one of the critical secrets of the Burn The Fat system. Tom Venuto teaches you how to “stoke up” your metabolism “fire,” which is done by building lean muscle through specialised exercise sessions.

The cool thing about this type of exercise program is that it meant I could drop my long boring cardio routines, which weren’t getting me great results anyway! Tom’s “Burn The Fat” guide is 300 pages (17 chapters) of great info on how to burn fat lose weight, and gain lean muscle. I found it to be well written and very detailed, and despite it having 300 pages, it isn’t too long, as you don’t need to read every page, from start to finish, before applying Tom’s secrets.

Tom explains why this fat burning system works so well. Basically, when you increase the amount of lean muscle in your body (which makes both men and women look better) your body burns more calories to maintain muscle rather than fat. So, your RMR (resting metabolic rate) is increased which means that your body is burning calories faster, day and night. Even while your resting and sitting you’re burning many more calories per day than you were previously.

This is not just a theory. It’s backed up by real scientific evidence, and I can personally attest to that from my own fat burning results. There’s also another way you burn more calories with this method which I’ll tell you about, but first I want to put to rest any fears that women may have about using weights. I was first a little apprehensive about using weights since I thought I might end up looking like some freaky looking muscle bound female bodybuilder. I can assure you this won’t happen, not with the way we use weights and also, we don’t have the levels of testosterone that the guys have. We just become trimmer, and slimmer looking, which is just what we want. The extra strength is just another bonus for our overall health.

Anyway, the other way you burn more calories is due to the fact that your muscles need to be repaired by your body. Do I mean we’ve damaged them? No. When we use weights to the point where we can’t do any more, your body spends the next couple of days repairing the muscles used, which makes them stronger. This means that your body is burning extra calories in this “repair process” for up to 72 hours after your exercise session. I love that, and I look so much better for having become leaner.

Now, I can hear some of you asking, “What about nutrition and diet? Surely that’s a very important part of the weight loss equation.” You’re right, and Burn The Fat doesn’t disappoint in this area. Tom Venuto has devoted a large portion of the book to this aspect of this fat loss system. Tom is an expert in this field and goes into great detail on all aspects of nutrition. By supplying the essentials of good eating, which isn’t difficult or unpleasant, you’ll find you enjoy eating less of the bad foods.

Tom also promotes the proven metabolism boosting practice of eating smaller quantities, but more frequently. This is the same principle as dropping smaller pieces of wood onto a fire to keep it continually burning well, as opposed to throwing a large log on the fire less frequently. We all know which works better. There are no fad diets promoted in the BTF program. I’m not into fad diets, and Tom isn’t either.

The Burn The Fat system shows you what foods (and liquids) you should be eating to maximise your fat loss. I found this very helpful along with the sample meal plans. Here’s what you get in the BTF package:

– The 300 page fat burning blueprint

– Free access to the “Burn The Fat Inner Circle Personal Support and Motivation Forums” where you can get answers from fitness pros (including Tom Venuto) and you can also connect with people just like yourself, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

– Lifetime updates

– Four valuable bonus reports. These are “Foods That Burn Fat” (when you eat these foods, you can actually eat more, feel fuller and still lose fat), “Foods That Turn To Fat”, (these are the foods that you should almost NEVER eat), “The Food Choice Grading Guide” (how to choose foods from the “A and B list” so you’re virtually GUARANTEED to look better, feel better and lose more fat), and the 4th bonus report which is “How to Measure Your Body Fat in the Privacy of Your Own Home” (so you can know for sure that you’re will losing pure fat and not lean muscle).

To sum up, obviously I believe the Burn The Fat system is great value, or I wouldn’t be writing a good review about it. It’s certainly not expensive at only $39.95 and I can personally attest to the fact that it works. So if you’re someone who’s prepared to put in a bit of effort, and who’s truly looking for genuine fat loss results then I suggest you look into it further here at the

I want to tell you my story of how I finally managed to burn fat lose weight and get my life back. I know it sounds a bit dramatic to say “get my life back” but it really affected my self esteem. As you’ve probably read (on the side column of this website) I started packing on the pounds, and fat, after I became pregnant with my first child.

Yes, I know that’s normal during pregnancy, but I thought I’d be able to lose weight quickly afterwards, especially since I was breastfeeding and I’d never had any weight problem before. Boy, was I wrong! Those extra pounds weren’t going anywhere. They wouldn’t budge, despite my best efforts to burn fat and lose weight. I figured the fat burning ability of my body had undergone a big change, so I started looking for some sort of fat burning diet. I figured that was a good place to start as I had so little spare time with my new babe that I thought long exercise sessions would be out of the question.

I remembered reading somewhere that a low carb diet was the best way to lose weight, since carbs can be converted to sugars and fats. So, I tried this out and although I didn’t enjoy it, at least it worked, but only for about 3 weeks. Not being a huge meat eater, I hated the high amounts of protein and with only about 20 grams of carbohydrate, I really missed eating nice wholemeal bread and yummy pasta dishes. So, that wasn’t for me.

I then thought it’d be logical to cut my calorie intake to lose weight, so I had a good try out on a low fat/low calorie diet, but found I was just running out of energy. Doing this while breast feeding was just not a good idea. I was losing body fat though, so it was frustrating that I couldn’t continue with it. I came to the conclusion that I needed a diet plan that could be part of my lifestyle on a long term basis.

Fortunately, my husband is pretty supportive, and he suggested that I try joining a gym and he’d take care of things at home while I went for workouts. I figured that the best way to burn fat, lose weight and tone up was with some really good aerobic sessions. I’d seen how the cardio workouts to music had everyone pumped and really puffing, so it had to be an effective fat burning exercise. Then I really got stuck in and made a point of getting along to aerobic exercise sessions 3 times a week.

Needless to say, I was pretty excited to notice that I was losing fat and some weight. However it wasn’t fat loss at the rate I’d expected to see for the amount of effort I was putting in, and I got quite discouraged. What was I missing? There had to be a better way to exercise to burn fat! That’s when I started searching the internet for quick ways to lose weight, and that’s when I came across the fat loss program designed by Tom Venuto called “Burn The Fat”.

I’m a skeptical person by nature, so I did my research, and Tom’s system wasn’t the only fast fat burning guide I looked at. Tom looked like a sincere person and the testimonials, from the many people who had enjoyed weight loss success with his program, convinced me to give it a shot. He offered a money back guarantee too.

To use an old cliche, “The rest is history” and I finally found I could get the rate of fat loss I wanted in the time I had available. Using Tom’s system I have nearly tripled the results I was getting from the old cardio workouts I was doing. I’m thrilled with that. Not only did I drop one of the 45 minute gym sessions, which freed up my time, I actually got MUCH faster results, and I got my body back! It’s not just about exercise though, since Tom’s system also provides a great, realistic, nutrition plan that not only works well, but is really easy to live with.

The secret lies in the big difference between the old aerobic workouts, that most gyms promote, and Tom’s Burn The Fat system. When you’re doing those endless cardio routines, like running on treadmills, cycling, aerobics etc you’re only burning calories while you’re exercising. Tom’s system showed me how to workout in a much shorter time and yet still go on burning calories up to 3 days later! Not only have I lost the weight I wanted, but I’ve toned my body like never before.

So I hope that my story helps you in your quest to burn more fat. The BTF plan that Tom’s devised fits my lifestyle perfectly in that it doesn’t require large amounts of time or any fad diets. I’ve introduced it easily into my lifestyle and plan to stick with it in the future.

I’m sure it’ll come as no surprise to you that a large percentage of people who are trying to burn fat lose weight, and live better, are confused about how to go about it.  They are not at all clear about the best way to achieve the body they desire, but which they know is possible.  People are confused about how to burn fat, what really does work, what doesn’t, and most of all, the reasons why.

All over the country, and around the world, tens of thousands of people are working very hard in fitness centers and gyms. They are slaving and sweating using all manner of exercises they believe will allow them burn fat and lose weight. Cycling, rowing, running on treadmills, stepper machines, you name it, they’re all used to boost metabolism and burn more fat. Along with aerobics and “pump” classes, many are lifting weights a few times each week to build muscle lower their body fat.

Tens of thousands will be also testing out the latest diet programs that hit the market constantly and which promise to be ultimate miracle fat burning system for fast weight loss. The list of methods goes on, and the newest diet supplements entice many others to open their wallets and spend hundreds on pills that will guarantee weight loss. Their fat loss process is usually checked by watching their weight on the scales, which is not a great way to monitor body fat levels. I used to do it that way, until I discovered it wasn’t really the way to maintain my body as I wanted.

One of the problems with this “scale watching” approach is that, if your weight goes up a pound or two, you may feel like you’re losing “the battle” and may even feel like giving up on your entire diet or workout plan. Sadly, many people do!

Where are we heading with all this? Well, all, or some, of all the above methods are what many fitness and diet professionals usually recommend to burn fat, but it has resulted in too many programs and plans offered as the best option. The result is that people tend to go overboard with their weight loss workouts and fat loss programs. I’m talking about the range and intensity of them.

The crazy thing about this situation is that, we are no longer in touch with the essentials we need to achieve lifelong fat burning, weight loss, health and fitness. I’m talking about the basic principles that a large number of men and women aren’t aware of and what many people have forgotten. The truth is that only a small percentage put these basic essential principles to use in order to achieve lifelong health and fitness.

With any workout or diet program, you’re bound to lose some fat to begin with, but unfortunately  often the progress just continue or, just as frustrating, it doesn’t happen quickly enough. This is often because people may be focused on just a short term goal, rather than a lasting lifestyle program. The result is they usually end up switching to something else, again and again, and this can result in confusion.

Many in the fitness industry experts agree that this is possibly the #1 reason for the poor fat loss results and below average fitness progress that is being experienced by the masses of exercisers and dieters in the world. They are switching from one fad diet, or exercise program, to another without taking the time beforehand to learn what really works.

Basically, while they’re exercising too much, usually it’s not nearly intensely enough, and most are trying to stick to diet recommendations that aren’t realistic.

The key to both short term and long term success is to adopt a “lifestyle” that includes an effective way to burn fat lose weight, keep fit, which includes a sustainable method of weight control. So, rather than the “boom – bust” approach that many have of needing to “drop 20 pounds by summer”, they’d  find it so much easier, and simpler, to weave into their weekly schedule the things that always work!

I’m so thrilled to have discovered the essentials for effective weight loss that I want to share this with others so that they too can reap the life long health and fitness rewards they deserve. On this website we’re going to talk about the right things to do. This includes quick, but advancing, resistance training, a nutrient rich diet with plenty of water, and getting enough quality sleep, which is often overlooked. The body fat loss results will amaze you.
